About Shouldham Football Club
Founded more than a century ago, Shouldham Football Club has a proud history of providing football opportunities for thousands of adults, children, and young people. We are affiliated with the Norfolk FA, the Mid Norfolk Youth League, the Combined Norfolk Youth League, and the North West Norfolk Football League. We welcome boys and girls from the age of five and offer a clear pathway through to adult football.
As a grassroots club, we have made significant progress in recent years—expanding our playing membership, improving our pitches and facilities, and strengthening our presence across the region. We work closely with both Shouldham and Marham Parish Councils, as well as the FA, to ensure we provide a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where young people can enjoy football at a variety of levels.
The club is run entirely by unpaid volunteers—coaches and committee members who hold the appropriate coaching, safeguarding, and professional qualifications, and who give their time freely. All club activities are funded through member subscriptions and general fundraising, ensuring that every contribution directly supports football development.
As a committed grassroots organisation, we consistently compete across Mid Norfolk and beyond, regularly punching above our weight. Over the years, we have celebrated success in numerous competitions and are proud to have produced a full England international, (Alf Kirchen).—a legacy that continues to inspire our young players today.
